Death Eyes
Death Eyes
Death Eyes first came to be in January of 2014, a merging of members from San Diego bands Rats Eyes and Death Crisis (hence the name) in order to form what was described by Maximum RNR as, “erratic hardcore with serious swagger and no fucks given.”
Amid the angry breakdowns and evil fits of rhythmic blasts via John Cota on drums and Jimmy Armbrust on bass, the energy Death Eyes emits is both penetrating and intemperate. Jason Blackmore adds to the collective turmoil with layers of guitar serving as gasoline thrown on an already raging flame, at times all-out raw and unrestrained and others calculated, waiting to burst forth with new assault. At the center of it all is vocalist Alberto Jurado: a force to be reckoned with, a larger than life personality that has the seemingly effortless ability to take attention by force and keep it for the duration of a set. Lyrics are as likely to be in Spanish as English, alternating between the two fluidly and with fierce confidence. His delivery works in the same way, vacillating between spoken-style lyrics and all consuming caterwauls, wild-eyed stares and flailing body in tow.

The band released their debut 12” in 2015 on Route 44 Skateboards & Records– a well-received entrance described by Razorcake as “offering up a complex score of tempo and rhythm changes, slow dirges, and powerful blasts of pummeling hardcore.” In 2017, Death Eyes took up home with Three One G to release their EP, “Si La Revancha Fuera Una Opcion”.

Wild Powwers
Wild Powwers
WILD POWWERS are 3 Seattle kids who “specialize in the sort of carefree grunge riff-rock that gets better the dirtier it gets. Each layer of meticulously gnarlydistortion, each off-kilter lyric, drenched in garage-echo reverb, is pure Pacific Northwest filth” - KEXP.

This dynamic trio has been staying busy touring, while anticipating the release of their third album, "Skin", recorded by the legendary Billy Anderson, (Jawbreaker, Melvins, Neurosis). Their three years as a band has brought them around the country three times, playing festivals such as SXSW and Savannah Stopover Fest, opening for amazing bands like The Fall Of Troy, Kylesa, Dilly Dally, Helms Alee and No Age and playing such venues as The Fonda Theater and The Fillmore. WILD POWWERS has developed a glam creep strut that we have come to love them for. Get into it.
