Amigo
Amigo
Influenced by the lush palms, rural canyons, undulating landscapes, and little cliffs that make up the pseudo desert that is San Diego, Amigo was born. Led by front man Jeff Podeszwik, Amigo is a riff based rock band with heavy hooks, melodic vocals and fuzz driven guitars. Whether it be a tale of tragedy, a practice in prose, an untold story, or a rumor in the school hall, instructions have been given to let you in on these secrets. After all....that's what friends do.
Monolith
In 2013 Doug Walker (The Hookers, Nixon) started writing material for a new project. The idea was to be a metal project with heavy reference to the mid 70's early 80s era of metal. He started corresponding with Aaron Howell (MF Ruckus, White Fudge) and they began work on recording the material in the summer. In November Doug recruited local musicians Ben Pincock (Generator, GFI), Jono Lanasa (Zombie Cartel, Prevailer). 2014 marked the inaugural year of shows.

After a few short tours, Jono left the band to focus on his project The Dirty Work and Jared Bliss formerly of the Nite Crawlers took over second guitar duty. Monolith was approached by Funeral Noise records and signed into a 2 record contract. The first full length, Against the Wall of Forever was released on CD in February of 2015. Vinyl is slated to be released sometime in 2016.

During 2015, Gordo left the band and was replaced by Tadeus Kutcher. After a very slow year, it was decided to change frontmen. Aaron Howell left the band to focus on his band MF Ruckus, and Keith Mcintosh took over on vocal duties.

Monoliths mission is to play what they like to call "Pure Metal", overdriven guitars, soaring vocals, facemelting solos, and lower production value than most current metal acts in order to keep the feel of the early days of metal.

Monolith has released a split 7" with Voyage of Slaves on Little Heart Records, as well as a self released cassette E.P.

"If you want metal that should be played at a party while people have bottle rocket fights, and drink shitty domestic beers, this is it. And that's a good thing." - Syd Bishop of never-nervous.com
