LOW VOLTS is one hombre, a 60's Silvertone & a 40's kick drum laden with tambourines. Heavy, swampy, beautiful. Biography Often referring to himself as us and we at live shows, this one-man rock n roller provides a wild performance like none other. With a gritty old slide-guitar, thunde
ous kick drum laden with tambourines, and dark, howling vocals, LOW VOLTS creates a thick and heavy sound equivalant to a five piece band. Combining a timeless mixture of rock, blues and soul, LOW VOLTS has managed to encompass the American sound in a raw and extremely unique way. Think 1955 meets 2055. Early Elvis meets Evel Knievel. The debut record, TWIST SHAKE GRIND BREAK was recorded live at White Horse Recorders November 21st, 2010 on a full BLUE MOON. Some say that blue moon is what gives the record its energizing mystique; others say its the brilliant work by reknowned producer/engineer Mike Butler. LOW VOLTS just likes to Blame It On The Breakup. Regardless of how the record came about, it exceeded everyones expectations and stays true to the sound & experience of an authentic LOW VOLTS live rock n roll performance. The songs I Cried My Guts Out and The Richest Poor Man have already seen extensive airplay on Southern Californias radio stations 91X & FM94.9 - before the record has even been officially released! Within the first few months of playing live, LOW VOLTS has performed with: THE GREENHORNES, LUCERO, THE JIM JONES REVUE, DAN SARTAIN, SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS, DAVE ALVIN AND HACIENDA. Heavy touring is in the stars for this one-man-act and LOW VOLTS is ready to support a larger, national act anywhere in the world.
